Stafford Prime is a catering company that crafts memorable experiences through fantastic food and heartfelt hospitality.  From meal planning for one to multiple course plated dinners, we accommodate every level of demand without compromising the integrity of our food or service.  Stafford Prime is based in Corona Del Mar, California and serves a diverse range of clients throughout Los Angeles, Orange, and San Diego Counties. We are committed to flawlessly executing our clients' vision, from conceptualizing menu items to lighting the candles on the birthday cake.

We pride ourselves on sourcing organic, non-GMO, and sustainable foods and are committed to serving meals that are both nutritious and delicious. Using southern California's bounty of quality ingredients we create food that is inspired by California, Mexico, Italy, and Spain. We produce menus to fit our clients' tastes while bringing layers of flavor and a level of sophistication to the plate.

JAMES STAFFORD....OWNER & CHEF

"Chef Jimmy" was trained in Classic French Technique at the Scottsdale Culinary Institute graduating with honors.  He then focused on kitchen management and leadership with Hyatt Hotel's CMT program and landed his first Chef de Cuisine position in Kauai, Hawaii at Dondero's.  Within 3 years it was voted "Best Fine Dining Restaurant"  by Kauai's Dining Guide, received 4 diamonds from AAA, and made SFGate's "5 Hawaii Restaurants that Will Wow Foodies" list in 2009.  He then traveled to New York as Sous Chef for Hyatt's New "Andaz" Wall Street location in Manhattan creating old word American cuisine at Wall & Water Restaurant.  He has since been opening and re-concepting restaurants in Brooklyn, New York, Poipu, Hawaii, and Orlando, Florida.  Chef Jimmy continues to pursue his love for the culinary arts by bringing to life unforgettable dining experiences for each of his clients back at his home base in Southern California.
